Local Customs
When visiting mosques and religious sites, modest clothing is recommended. Women should carry a light scarf to cover their hair where required, and shoes must be removed before entering. ATMs are widely available in major cities and hotels, while Visa, Mastercard, and American Express are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and larger shops. US Dollars and Euros are commonly accepted in many tourist areas, although local currency is recommended for smaller purchases.

Electricity
Egypt operates on 220V / 50Hz using standard European two-pin sockets (Type C & F). We recommend bringing a universal travel adapter if required.

Nile Cruise Information
Cruising schedules are determined by Nile navigation authorities and may occasionally change due to operational or seasonal conditions. Cruise vessels of a similar standard may be substituted when necessary. Please note that Nile cruise boats are often moored alongside one another, and boarding may occasionally require passing through neighbouring vessels. Cabin check-in is generally available from 12:00 PM, with check-out by 8:00 AM on your departure day.

Photography
Photography is welcomed at most sites; however, certain museums, temples, and tombs may restrict photography or require an additional photography permit. Flash photography is prohibited in many historic locations to help preserve these remarkable monuments.

Meals
Your itinerary includes a carefully selected variety of local and international cuisine. On certain travel days, meal arrangements may be adjusted to accommodate flight schedules. For your comfort, we recommend dining at the hotels and carefully selected restaurants included throughout your journey.

Domestic Flights
Domestic flight schedules within Egypt are subject to operational changes and may occasionally require early morning or evening departures. Should any adjustments be necessary, your Travel Specialist or Tour Manager will keep you fully informed throughout your journey.

Tipping
Tipping is a long-established custom in Egypt and is always appreciated as a gesture of gratitude for excellent service, although it remains entirely at your discretion. For your convenience, gratuities may be prepaid before arrival or offered directly to your guides, drivers, and service staff during your journey.

Cruise Operations
For navigational or operational reasons, the sequence of sightseeing during your Nile cruise may occasionally be adjusted while ensuring all scheduled visits remain included.

Pricing
While every effort is made to maintain published prices, government entrance fees, local taxes, fuel surcharges, and other operational costs may occasionally change. Should any adjustments become necessary, you will be advised before your journey begins.

To ensure a smooth journey throughout Egypt, please note the following domestic flight baggage guidelines: Checked baggage: 23 kg (50 lbs) per person. Carry-on baggage: Up to 7 kg (15 lbs) per person. Carry-on suitcases fitted with non-removable lithium batteries are not permitted on domestic flights within Egypt. Where batteries are removable, they must be removed and carried separately in your hand luggage. Additional baggage may be accepted by the airline subject to availability and applicable excess baggage charges.

Egypt is a year-round destination, with the most comfortable weather typically experienced from October to April. During the summer months (May to September), temperatures are considerably warmer, although the climate remains dry. We recommend lightweight clothing for daytime sightseeing, together with a light jacket or warmer layer for cooler evenings during the winter months. Comfortable walking shoes and modest attire are advised when visiting religious sites.
